Consultation Details

How the Process Works

Step 1: Background Information

After booking, you will receive a pre-consultation form to complete before your session. Your responses ensure the session is focused on what matters most for your child and family, rather than general information gathering.

Step 2: The Consultation

The 60-minute session focuses on analyzing behavioral patterns, environmental factors, and parenting responses in your child's specific context. Available via Zoom or in-person in the Mercer Island area.

Step 3: Written Developmental Summary

A structured written developmental summary outlining key interpretations and recommended next steps is delivered within three to five business days following the session.

Common Questions

What concerns are best suited for a consultation?
Common topics include attention concerns, behavior intensity, emotional regulation, daily resistance, sibling dynamics, and parenting decision-making. If something about your child's behavior or development feels unclear or hard to manage, a consultation is a good starting point.
Do I need to prepare anything before the session?
Completing the Before Your Consultation form in advance is the most important preparation. It allows the session to focus on interpretation rather than background information gathering.
Is a written summary always included?
Yes. Every consultation includes a structured written developmental summary delivered within three to five business days following the session.
Can we discuss more than one child?
Related concerns such as sibling dynamics may be addressed together. Distinct developmental concerns for different children may require separate sessions.
What if my child has an existing diagnosis such as ADHD?
BrightEugene does not provide medical evaluations or diagnoses. Whether or not a diagnosis exists, the focus remains on understanding what is driving the behavior in your child's specific context and identifying practical adjustments for your family.
Is this service clinical or therapeutic?
No. This service is strictly educational and consultative. It is not a clinical evaluation, therapeutic intervention, or formal diagnosis.
